BABA Events
Taking part is the best way to be involved in BABA.
Come along, you are assured of a
friendly welcome. |
Not sure where to start? Here is a quick idea
of what is what:
Forge-ins: Largely informal events, mostly run at members
forges & often with a theme or competition. They are the best place
to start, whether you are totally new to Blacksmithing or just cannot stop
working at the fire even at the weekends! For full information please see most recent Artist Blacksmith Magazine or contact the organisers below.
Master Classes: More formal events, usually with
limited number of entries, the Master Classes cover a specific theme and may
run over several weekends. Previous events have included: Site Surveying,
Site Specific Design (including use of Computers) and Gate Manufacture.
These Master Classes formed a series that took the participants from the start to
the finish of a large scale commission. (Images to follow) .
We are always looking for new ideas and locations for events,
please contact our Events Secretary with
ideas large or small.
