Gate Foot Forge is the workshop of artist blacksmith, Owen Phillips. Nestled in the rolling Pennine hills above Holmfirth, West Yorkshire and offering traditional blacksmithing services both local and worldwide.
From interior ironwork, fireplace sets, outdoor cooking and BBQ kit, bespoke knives and tools… to larger scale commissions such as gates and handrails as well as repairs and alterations to other iron and steel items, I can probably help!
I have a fascination with iron and steel, and the manner in which a material so tough can be heated and manipulated into almost any form before cooling and regaining its massive strength. I try to bring this passion out in my products and commissions, working with – not against – the material to coax it to its final form.
